The Saguache Chamber of Commerce is a unique and non-traditional “chamber organization”. The Saguache Chamber of Commerce is 1st a Community Driven Organization and 2nd a Future Driven Organization. We believe that Saguache will be best served by promoting a robust and active community-centric focus and that the future of Saguache is dependent on the building blocks of civic pride and citizenship. And, that this organic growth and opportunity will spawn the growth of existing businesses and incentivize others to join the cause.
The Saguache Chamber founders recognized early on that the purpose and mission of a Chamber of Commerce in Saguache was unique. And, as such, our by-laws and founding principals were defined to support a small, struggling community that was losing businesses; it’s youth to jobs elsewhere; and the traditional clubs and organizations found in most towns to support business, youth, education.
When you join the Saguache Chamber of Commerce you are not just joining a business-oriented organization; you are joining a movement. A movement of individuals, both business and non-business volunteers, who are dedicated to “bringing Saguache back” and re-creating a great western town that offers hope and a future to our youth, our working-age citizens, and our senior citizens.
There are two very unique features about our Membership Program:

- It’s affordable. We offer three levels of membership
a. The Premium Member is $50 per calendar year ($52 if paid online).
b.The Standard Member is $25 per calendar year ($27 if paid online).
c. The Volunteer Member is free, with a donation of 10 hours of volunteer time per calendar year
- Members are People; not Businesses – Recognizing that many people in Saguache who were in business, often had more than one business as an economic reality. As such we decided not to require another membership fee for each business, but rather we would simply make the people our members and promote all their businesses. This also allows people who are not in business to join and contribute their time and talent to our community-driven purpose.
Other than the greatest benefit of being part of our “Movement” — our Chamber Members also receive the following, more specific, benefits:
- Voting Privileges – Vote for officers and actions at membership meetings
- Advertising by way of placement of their logo on our website
- Premium members also have their logo placed on our Home Page
- All ad logos are provided with a URL to link to your own website
- All members are added to our online Business Directory
- All members are offered the opportunity to be a featured speaker in our monthly Speaker Program
- All members get annual, exclusive recognition in the Saguache Crescent
- All members receive a 10% discount on all Chamber Products purchased online
- All members are provided free use of the Chamber Bulk Mailing Account
- Chamber members receive preferred status for Chamber related purchases
All are welcome to join our Chamber of Commerce. You do not need to live in Saguache or even in Saguache County, but if you’d like to join our movement and become one of the over 60 people and organizations that have joined the Chamber, please do so. We have only one requirement for membership. You must agree to support the “purpose” of the Saguache Chamber of Commerce as stated in our By-Laws….
“The purposes for which the corporation is organized are to promote the business community, to organize civic functions, to provide community services and to encourage tourism and economic development within and for the Town of Saguache, Colorado and the surrounding community, and help promote Saguache County.”
