Beginning in September 2023, the Saguache Chamber General Meetings will occur on the first Wednesday of each month, except for January and July, at the Saguache Road & Bridge, located at 305 3rd Street in Saguache.
Welcome to the historic Town of Saguache, located at the North Branch of the West Fork of the Old Spanish Trail. Nestled in the northern half of the San Luis Valley, bordered on the east by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and on the west by the San Juan Mountains, there is outdoor splendor and activities in every direction. The elk and trophy mule deer hunting is unrivaled throughout Colorado and thousands of miles of mountain roads are enjoyed by all forms of off road vehicle enthusiast.
Established in 1874, Saguache is the county seat where vital government activity takes place for one of the largest counties in Colorado. Saguache is home to new schools, new senior care facilities, summer festivals and events, shopping, souvenirs, dining, movie theatres, art galleries, lodging, hot springs, and much more. Agritourism is emerging with our large, extensive farm and ranching operations as well.
